flower care
WATER CHANGE Flowers are thirsty and consume a lot of water. Ensure they always have two thirds of the vase full and change their water every two days as they are susceptible to bacteria build-up.
TRIMMING FLOWERS Once you have received your flowers and are ready to pop them into their new home, trim their stems 2cm on a 45 degree angle prior to placing them in their vase. We include flower feed with all of our bouquets so be sure to sprinkle some in each time you change the water. Trim the stems each time you change the water (every two days.)
SCISSORS Make sure to use sharp scissors when trimming your stems to avoid damaging the tissue at the base.
HEAT AND SUNLIGHT Try to keep your florals out of direct sunlight and heat to ensure their longevity. Flowers will mature faster when exposed to heat and light.
VASE WASHING Bacteria will build up in arrangements and flowers so be sure to use hot, soapy water when you dispose of old flowers. This will ensure your vase is in the best condition for your next bunch!
